The GPS reference mark consists of
5/8-11" diameter, vertical stainless steel rod.
It is glued into the concrete parapet at
the southwestern corner of the roof of
Seismic Station Yakutsk. This is 2-story
building made from prefabricated concrete.
The rod is driven into the parapet to a depth
of 100 mm; its top end is 100 mm above
the surface of the parapet.
Vertical datum
of the rod. Antenna is attached to the rod
with the UNAVCO compact leveling mount.
The antenna and choke ring assembly are
protected with the SCIGN hemispherical dome.
Mark YAKT is located 37 m to the west of
IGS mark YAKZ (IERS DOMES No. 12353M001).
YAKT was reoccupied several times
since 1996 and showed much smaller seasonal
horizontal fluctuations compared with YAKZ.</geo:notes>
