The monument consists of four bracing legs welded to a center/vertical leg via an adapter block, each approximately 35 feet below the ground surface. Each leg is grouted at the bottom to rock with a section that is insulated and not grouted near the surface, to allow for shallow ground movement that will not affect monument height relative to the deeper bedrock. The main, vertical leg is threaded 1.25” NTP for the GPS mount. A SCIGN type mount was installed, leveled and aligned to true north.
